The “Wrap” Cabinet is finished

The Wrap cabinet is a beautiful sideboard constructed from reclaimed mahogany floorboards.
The boards were rescued from a school gym floor in Manchester. They were featured here in a previous post over a year ago when we were deciding how to repurpose them. Well this is the result – beautiful even if we do say so ourselves. The outside has a tough glaze finish which really brings out the rich grain of the timber. The inside is painted in a contrasting colour and has two adjustable shelves. The handles are carved from solid mahogany offcuts. Solid brass hinges and shelf inserts complete the wow factor.
