Bespoke Pieces & Our Process

Do you already have an idea for a new piece of furniture that’s just right for your home? With our made to order handmade furniture service, we take you from design to delivery. All with sustainable materials and expert craftsmanship. Our process is set up to make this as easy and simple as possible, reduce the risks of something going wrong and provide you with the opportunity to steer and influence what you want and need.

CONTEMPORARY DINING BENCHES

Victoria wanted us to create something with a “vintage industrial” look. We used pitch pine timber reclaimed from the doors of a 1930’s house and raw steel hairpin legs, which are modelled on a classic mid-century design. Strong joinery techniques were employed throughout and the piece was finished in natural tung oil to enhance the grain and protect the timber.

DINING TABLE IN CHARACTER OAK

Rob and Clare told us they wanted a dining table for their new house that their family could gather round to share good food and tell stories. We used some character oak planks for the top, old truck batons for the legs and strong traditional joinery all round. This robust table will only get better with use.

SOFA TABLES

Beautiful and adaptable side tables Sarah wanted a pair of folding tables that could sit at the end of the sofa, at just the right height to rest your drink, or folded out for your dinner plate or laptop. We found a very small folding table that was wonderfully simple in design but was too low to be useful. We used it to produce a plywood prototype to get the design just right before making the final versions in cherry.

TV CABINET FOR ALL THOSE BOXES

A TV Cabinet from discarded oak floor boards. Jon and Jane wanted a cabinet for the new big screen TV, the Wi-fi router box, the X-box, the sky box and all the other boxes and wires that come with keeping a growing family entertained. Oh and it had to fit in an awkward corner of their cottage front room. We used a stack of old oak floorboards and some truck batons and a left over oak plank. The result takes pride of place in the front room.

WALNUT COFFEE TABLE

Matty and Harriet told us they wanted a stunning coffee table for their new cinema room. We really went to town using the best walnut we could find and cutting a lot of dovetails for the corners. They described the result as a triumph
